| NanoDynamics maintains a focused approach on addressing the increasing global demand for energy. The following key thrusts are focused on exploiting the maximum potential of existing installations while exploring the promise of new energy technologies:
1. Improve the exploration, production, and processing of oil and gas.
NanoDynamics has entered into a joint venture with Shell Technology Ventures, Inc. to form Epik Energy Solutions, LLC. Epik Energy is driving improvement in oil and gas production yields and economics through the use of nano-enabled products. Backed by a $10.6 MM investment from Shell, Epik Energy is deploying NanoDynamics’ technology to bring near-term improvements in the performance characteristics of drilling fluids, cement, water remediation, power sources, coatings, structural materials, tracers and taggants.
